Our goal with the Metro Lite was to lighten the fabric while still maintaining durability, stretch and performance. We also managed to make it quieter and enhanced the next to skin feel. It fits like a city short, but with enough flexibility and features for riding. Having a detachable liner allows you the beauty of wearing the Metro Lite for biking (road or mountain), for hiking, for travel or for work.
Sophisticated construction elements include stretch gussets at sides of waist, a full length crotch gusset for better on-bike utility, and flatteringly curved back panel with embroidered detail. The pockets are substantial: 2 front hand pockets; 1 zip front leg pocket; 1 bellowed cargo pocket with magnetic closure (easily fits a cell phone or 2). 11.5 inch inseam (lower thigh). Comes with our unattached Universal Liner that can be comfortably worn with less bulk under any of your non-cycling apparel thanks to our Urban chamois, gentle elastic leg and waistband and 6.5 inch inseam. (Metro is also available in a looser, Relaxed fit version.)
Outer woven stretch nylon: 85% nylon/15% spandex; liner: nylon/spandex mesh.
Compact size, seamless chamois with four-way stretch Elastic Interface Technology® and multi-density foam padding. Shorter front to back and less bulky for riding in a more upright, commuter position. Light microfiber fabric reduces bulk at inner thigh to avoid chafing. Made in Italy.
How to care for your shorts/liner:
Wash only in delicate cycle at 86 degrees
Remove your shorts and launder asap for best results as residual sweat will damage the chamois
Use neutral, non-aggressive detergents
Keep like colors together & avoid dryers
If you use chamois butters or creams, your garment’s ability to wick moisture will be greatly reduced and the durability of your chamois may be compromised.
