Bought this jacket to ride thePan Mass Challenge. It deluged. Jacket did the job. Best thing is that it is so thin and light that it folds up easily into jersey back pocket or saddle bag. I ordered an Alp X jacket at the same time. That one was more substantial and likely warmer, as the previous reviewer said - but I simply wouldn't have had it with me on the ride. So I figured the best jacket is one you have with you.

This jacket kept me warm on many stormy and rainy double century rides. It is definately water proof. I just don't understand why it does not have pack away storage like the windstopper jacket Ior have or a thin mesh lining for a little warmth. Also, the Zipper gets stuck too easily almost always requiring two hands to unzip often and when you are tired and riding hard its a hassle to have to stop to unzip the jacket.
