Color Shown: Black

The ultimate bike saddle for women, ridden and universally loved around the world. For 16 years, Terry has been designing and testing saddles with female athletes, distance riders and recreational cyclists. Introduced in 1999, the Italian-made Butterfly represents the best in all that research and development. Lightest of all Butterflies thanks to beautiful carbon rails - 9.6mm high x 7mm wide; wider in the rear than typical race saddles for good support of a woman's sit bones; completely cut away through the nose and mid-section, making it flexible and comfortable against soft tissues; low profile, flat top with multi-density injection molded foam that's a bit stiffer in the rear for more power while pedaling. Redesigned for 2011 with new black leather with gloss butterfly graphics, it’s a beauty on any premium ride. For full specs and a comparison chart of all our women's saddles, click here.

Float like a butterfly & sting like a bee!

I purchased this to replace the Bontrager seat that came on my Trek hybrid. The Bontrager wasn't horrible, but I just wanted an even more comfortable seat, since longer rides were getting to be hurty on my lady-parts. The Terry Butterfly Carbon Saddle is significantly more comfortable than my stock saddle and it's light as a feather. I am generally a fairly frugal person, so this saddle was a splurge for me (that's the only reason I nicked it half a star). Saddles are such a personal choice that what may be fablulous for one person could be torturous for another person. Online reviews can only tell you so much, and your butt will tell you the rest. Sometimes it takes a couple of long rides on a new saddle to figure out if you just need to get used to the saddle or if it really isn't panning out, so it was nice to have the option of using Terry's generous return policy, if needed.
