The Wild Goose Chase
400 women participated in the inaugural Wild Goose Chase ride, which benefitted Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge, Maryland on the Eastern Shore, a place of extraordinary beauty and critical habitat. Terry Precision Cycling and Gore Bike Wear were pleased to donate $18,600 (all the registration proceeds) to the Friends of Blackwater to use for rebuilding a nature trail in the Refuge. We're already in the planning stages for the 2009 ride. Thanks so much to all of you who shared your comments and suggestions about the 2008 event in an after-ride survey. Now we have lots of ideas to make the 2009 ride even better. (Did someone say porta-potties? Bagels? PB&J?) Ah yes, we've only just begun!
We have tentatively scheduled the ride for Sunday, May 3. This will not be confirmed until July 1. In late July, we'll begin registration for the 2009 ride. The 2008 riders will be notified first, then it will be open to everyone else. The ride is limited to 700 riders. The 2008 ride sold out in a week.
We've posted details here about the 2009 ride. If your questions aren't answered here, please join the discussion on the Wild Goose Chase section of our Terry forums.

MANY THANKS TO ALL THE GREAT SPONSORS OF THE 2008 WILD GOOSE CHASE!
