I've been riding a Butterfly Ti for two years ... (Bonnie Hall)

I've been riding a Butterfly Ti for two years on my roadbike. I never had saddle sores before this saddle. I noticed that my bike shorts are wearing on the inside of my thighs in the exact place where the chafing and sores are. I was thinking that a smoother/narrower saddle would help since no amount of chamois butter does. I am a 58 year old woman who does pretty high mileage and was wondering if the Liberator Race would be a better choice since it has a smooth leather cover (the texture on the Butterfly may be causing the problem) and the width is narrower between my legs. Also, would it be better to get the gel or just the race?

Greetings,

I've worn through the leather covering on two Fly Ti saddles on the nose of the saddle where my thigh rubs on the saddle. Is it possible to send a saddle in to get recovered? If not, is there something I can do with the nose of the saddle -- I am worried the remaining leather will tear up my bike shorts as the leather is a bit rough. Hopefully this isn't a stupid question... anyway, thanks for your help.

I just bought a Fly Ti Saddle with the intent of using it on a cross counrty ride this summer on my Trek 520. Your web site says the saddle is recommended for both performance and touring. When the saddle arrived the chart on the back of the accompanying product informaton states the Fly Ti is for performance and that either the Liberator Y or Liberator Y Gel is for touring. Given the contradictory advice can you tell me what saddle I should have. I'll be riding about 60 miles per day for 60 days and need a comfortable saddle. (This is the second time I have sent this message not sure first got through).

I usually ride 25-30 miles 2-3 times a week. I have ridden 50 before and intend to again. The saddle I have puts too much pressure up front. I am 5'7" and weigh 180 lbs. I have tilted the saddle and it helps some but I am still in a lot of pain in those soft tissue areas. I saw the Liberator Ti on another web site. You do not have it listed on your site. You do have the Liberator Race Gel. What do you recommend?

We are going to ride in Switzerland in two years from now. I see that you have a store in Switzerland. Do you sell your bikes there? We don't know if we should take bikes to Europe or buy them there and then resell before coming home. I have a Terry Mt. Bike now and like it very much. My husband however needs a Mt. Bike.
