My Vermont Bike Tour

How's this for a view? Supposedly it's the most photographed scene in Vermont. We ambled up an eight mile hill to get to it. The view itself would have been reward enough, but the thirteen mile downhill was icing on the cake!

Amazing Vista

Then there were the quintessential dirt roads, winding their way through oft-unseen areas, beckoning the rider to discover the world around the next bend. Truly the kind of scenery that inspired Frank Patterson's pen and ink sketches.

Country Road

And what hungry cyclist doesn't yearn for the bounty of a late summer harvest?

Fresh Eggs

Thank you, Bike Vermont, for another wonderful summer tour!

Today in Vermont

Rainy Dayg

Rain, drizzle, drip. Rain, drizzle, drip.

That was the mantra today -- the first day of a five day cycling vacation in Vermont. This was the view from the back of general store near Pomfret. I migrated from there to the entry way of the public library and even got a few (a very few) miles on the road.

We're all hoping for a better day tomorrow!
