Our search for the ultimate combination of protection, head fit, strap adjustability and aesthetics has led us to this European company known for great design and engineering. The new PowerDome MIPS from Abus is made in Italy and has clear racing DNA. Its most striking features are its weight, coming in at 260g (size medium) and its fit which is easily dialed in with a Zoom Ace, ponytail-friendly adjustment system. A sophisticated ventilation system with 10 air inlets and 7 outlets is also supplemented by a sleek air scoop on the helmet, modeled after the PowerDome of high-performance cars. The overall result ensures you keep cool whether climbing a mountain pass, riding a gravel adventure, battling headwinds on the road or cycling to a cafe with friends.

Helmets are made of materials that can be damaged by many commonly available cleaners. Petroleum based solvents or cleaners are especially problematic. They can damage a helmet so that its protective capabilities are reduced. Many times this damage is not visible. For best results, clean the helmet using a soft cloth or sponge, warm water and mild soap.
